Art Exchange 2020: “Imagine” Artistic Dialects:
Thinking into Doing 5 Sub themes

1.) Sustainability Action:

Considering the critical issues that face our planet due to irresponsible consumption of natural resources, creative work submitted under this sub-theme should involve an environmentally friendly approach. One possibility would be the creation of work that integrates innovative concepts or new materials that offer solutions to ecological problems or that provides long-term results.

2.) Disciplines Integration:

Creative fields intersecting with one another or with other areas, presents a more holistic and enriched understanding of our world. Work that includes overlapping ideas (or even colliding concepts) from different disciplines will be considered.

3.) Innovative Discovery:

New approaches in the creative process and inventive solutions that help drive artistic disciplines forward fit under this category. Any creative work that takes a fresh, unconventional approach or that can be considered avant-garde can be included.

4.) Trans-Cultural Exploration:

Our diverse world with a vast range of traditions, values, histories, and ways of life provides endless inspiration for creative thinkers and practitioners. Work submitted under this sub-theme should link various cultures together or examine how different groups and societies influence one another.

5.) Collaboration Beyond Borders:

Creating work that explores new frontiers and fosters respect, teamwork, or helps to build a community can have a major impact on societies. Work under the heading of participatory arts, socially engaged arts, or arts in social and community contexts would fit under this category.
